Greetings from Montpelier, Virginia - welcome to my website! You might be wondering what's here? Certainly not the actual site - my travel schedule has been hectic - anyway I've structured the menu into two content areas describing some of my personal and professional life. (Incidentally, "paiken" has been my e-mail address prefix since 1981 - Allen Tsirinsky named this website.)

Professional: My professional background is a combination of real world experience and academically based research centered around the area of data management. My career positions have ranged from the retail business to computer systems engineering and more recently to research-based consulting. You have access to descriptions of my academic papers (some online), some book contents, and other research products.

Personal: From these pages you can learn about my personal philosophies, my musical interests (just who are Whiskey Creek, Dog's New Clothes, and Smokin' Neocons anyway?) some of my friends, and relatives. I also host initial web site materials for ESBAUG, DAMA-CV, Eliza Askins, and several others including a few local artists.
